Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has created the Connecticut Microgrid Program as a way to help ensure that critical buildings such as hospitals, water treatment plants, and public safety facilities throughout the state retain power during electrical grid outages. The state has authorized a total of $48 million over the next two years to fund at least nine microgrid projects across Connecticut. Grants are being made to a variety of recipients to help provide critical facilities support in municipalities of all sizes. Learn more about the Microgrid Program.
